Our Tax-Exempt Status & Your Contribution

Thank you for your interest in supporting the Art of Recovery Foundation.

We are proud to share that the Art of Recovery Foundation has officially filed its application with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to be recognized as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization. While our application is currently under review, we believe in transparency and want our supporters to have a clear understanding of where we stand.

What This Means for You as a Donor:

Pending Status
We are currently awaiting official IRS approval of our 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status.

Retroactive Deductibility
Once our application is approved, our tax-exempt status will be retroactively effective to the date of our incorporation and filing. This means that all donations made during this pending period will be considered tax-deductible in accordance with IRS regulations.

Confirmation
As soon as our status is officially approved, we will notify all donors and, if needed, provide appropriate documentation for your tax records.

We are diligently following all IRS requirements to ensure we meet the standards for approval. Your support not only helps us move forward but allows us to continue our mission—using art, storytelling, and community engagement to shed light on addiction, mental illness, and recovery. Your generosity helps amplify the voices of artists in recovery and brings their powerful stories to the world.
